Been exactly 5 weeks today that we have been in OUR home- amazing how fast time flys. Despite the fact that our home was "move in ready" its true what they say- the list of things you need to get done on your home is never ending. We finally got all the blinds up in our house (well minus our bedroom) and we are no longer living in a fishbowl- where when a light turns on we had to dash out of the way to avoid the neighbors seeing us in our skivvies! I don't really think it has sunk in that the house is actually ours- I am still avoiding hanging pictures for fear that I might hang them then change my mind.. I keep forgetting that the landlord won't come knocking at the door and charge us for exceessive holes :)
Next on our homeowner to do list-
- Blinds in our room so that we can maybe try to block out the sounds of our neighbors yelling @ their kids.
- A bed frame for the guest room- 2 queen mattresses and a box spring stacked on top of each other with king sheets just doesn't seem to cut it anymore.
- Stuff for our empty walls
- TV!
